Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 Running at 3.01GHz 5.6 Hard disk WD 75 gig Raptor - 5.7 (why so slow? p) Processor Intel Core - 5.7 (at 3 GHz, haven't tried overclocking yet with this new bad boy) Harddisk Seagate 320GB SATA (7200RPM) => 5.7 Advice - get the E6420 - it has higher multipliers making OC easier.Īero Graphics - 2x 7900GT (I know sli i doesnt work) - 5.9Ĥx1GB Kingston DDR2-667MHz => 5.5 (It only detects 3326MB)ĪTI Radeon X1550 (Aero => 5.4), (Gaming => 4.4) Should be able to get the FSB up to 333 at least - maybe even 400 (RAM and temp permitting), giving me 2.8GHz. Once I've replaced the stock fan I'll try some more serious overclocking and see if I can improve the score. Please specify your computer type (desktop/notebook) and the Model code if exists, thank you. Primary HDD WD Raptor 150GB 10K 16MB (5.9) MEMORY SUPPORTS 800MHZ BUT MOTHER BOARD ONLY AT 533, THATS OK BECAUSE FSB IS AT 266 Why do i have such a low AERO score and MEMORY SCOREĪND YES THAT IS MY TIMING ON DDR2. Most of the systems had a 3.0 rating due to low ratings for gaming of the integrated graphics (machine spec said 5000+ but properties said 5200+) Wanted to compare CPUs so went down to the local Best Buy and looked at the machines they had on display:

Also I thought the raptor are the faster sata drivers out there, but it only scores 5.5 Processor: Core2Duo E6600 running at 2.79 GHz - 5.6 I don't know if this is a good or bad score for my laptop. GIGABYTE GEFORCE GTX 275 1.7GB INSTALL
I figure once I install this new card my score should go up quite a bit! We'll see how it goes.Īfter I get the score up I'll have to look into getting another monitor up here as well, I'm itching to try my hand in a dual screen setup, though two 19" CRTs will sure take up a lot of deskspace! I've gotta pick up a DVI to VGA converter tomorrow so I can use the car, my 19" VGA just won't fit into the DVI plug! I ordered two off Tiger Direct last week, but of course I ordered the wrong ones. This evening I installed 2 gigs of DDR2 4200 RAM, and so far it is flying! Hopefully tomorrow I'll be installing a nVidia GeForce 7900GS 256MB PCI-E x16 Video Card that I got off of a few weeks back, this weekend I also ordered a Seagate 250GB SATA Hard Drive refurb off of woot. The limiting number being the Graphics card. With those stats my Windows Experience Index has a base score of 2.0. The machine is a Dell, Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz dual core, RADEON X300/X550 Series (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM), 149gig SATA drive. Trying to run Photoshop and VIsual Studio 2k5, as well as a few RDP windows was very taxing on the box.
So far Vista has worked out well with me for VS 2005, I even got a release out for last week that was completely written on this VISTA box. Overall it's been a pleasurable experience, unlike some of the other DotNetNuke core team members have had! Just over a week and a half ago I installed Windows Vista Ultimate RC1 on the newest of my desktop machines.
